The Bondi terror attack that killed 15 people has placed Australia’s gun laws under intense scrutiny after it was revealed alleged shooter Sajid Akram, 50, was a licensed gun owner and a member of hunting associations. Former NSW Police Detective Robert Critchlow said gun access should be revoked if an “immediate family” member like son Naveed Akram poses a security risk, questioning the logic of owning long rifles in suburban Sydney.
