One Lucky South Australian Claims $20M Powerball Jackpot

ADELAIDE: The search for the nation’s newest multi-millionaire is over. The Lott has confirmed that a woman from Hackham has claimed the entire $20,000,000 division one prize from the Powerball draw held on Thursday, December 25.

The winning numbers required to take home the Christmas Day jackpot were:
7 — 23 — 29 — 20 — 11 — 16 — 17
Powerball: 17

The winning entry was sold in the southern suburbs of Adelaide at:

Colonnades Lotto Kiosk (Shop KI104)

Noarlunga Centre, 54 Beach Road, Noarlunga Centre, SA 5168.

The winner discovered the ticket in her purse a week after the draw took place. She intends to share the windfall with her family and significantly increase her charitable donations. “I’ve always liked to give where I can… now I can give a little more,” she stated upon claiming the prize.

Across Australia, millions of other prizes were won in divisions two to nine, but the Hackham retiree was the only player to secure the coveted division one prize.
