Couple Seriously Injured in Werribee Hit-Run; Good Samaritan Rushes to Their Aid

A Point Cook man and Wyndham Vale woman sustained serious injuries in an Oct 28 hit-run on Werribee\’s Watton Street. Police have released CCTV and need help identifying the blue sedan driver.

A routine evening crossing turned into a terrifying ordeal for a couple in Werribee last month after they were struck by a vehicle whose driver callously fled the scene, leaving them seriously injured.

The incident happened at approximately 9 pm on October 28 as the pair—a 33-year-old Point Cook man and a 31-year-old Wyndham Vale woman—were crossing Watton Street near Duncans Road.

Police confirm that a blue sedan travelling north-east struck the couple, and the driver immediately took off without stopping.

Fortunately, a passerby witnessed the collision and rushed to the aid of the injured pair, ensuring they received prompt medical attention.

Both victims were quickly transported to the hospital with injuries described as serious but not life-threatening.

The investigation is focused on identifying the blue sedan and the driver responsible for the crash. Police have released CCTV footage captured near the Watton Street crash site at the time of the collision, hoping a member of the public will recognize the vehicle.

Anyone with information about the crash or the movements of a blue sedan in the Melbourne outer west area on the night of October 28 is urged to contact police.
