BNP Launches ‘Bangladesh in My Thoughts’ Reel Competition Ahead of Tarique Rahman’s Homecoming

DHAKA: The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has launched a creative digital campaign on social media, titled “Bangladesh in My Thoughts: National Reel-Making Competition,” to mark the anticipated homecoming of its Acting Chairman, Tarique Rahman.

The initiative, announced by Tarique Rahman’s adviser, Mahdi Amin, in Gulshan this afternoon, aims to leverage popular short-form video content (reels) to engage the public, particularly the younger generation, in policy discussions.

The competition is structured around 11 designated thematic areas addressing core national issues and the party’s policy focus. These themes include: Family Card, Farmer Card, Employment, Education, Environment, Sports, The Country I Want , Health, Dignity of Imams and Muezzins, Expatriates, A Corruption-Free Bangladesh

The contest is open to people of any age, both domestically and internationally. Participants are required to create a one-minute reel based on any of the themes and post it to the designated event on the BNP’s official Facebook page.

The prize structure offers a unique incentive for top performers: 10 winning participants will get the opportunity to have a one-on-one interaction with Tarique Rahman at a special event.

Mahdi Amin stated that the competition seeks to “reflect the thoughts and expectations of people of all ages” and will be judged based on a combination of factors: 30 percent public voting and 70 percent jury board evaluation. The submission window for the reels is open until December 25.
