Dhallywood Silver Jubilee Awards 2026 Celebrates Industry Giants in Dhaka

DHAKA : After nearly a quarter-century of being hosted in the United States, the Dhallywood Film and Music Silver Jubilee Awards made a triumphant return to Bangladesh this Friday. The historic event, held at the Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Center, brought together the elite of film, music, fashion, and emerging tech.

The 2026 ceremony marked 25 years of celebrating Bangladeshi talent, but with a modern twist. For the first time, the organizers introduced categories reflecting the changing landscape of digital media, most notably the Best AI Educator in Content Creation award.

This prestigious honor was bestowed upon Robinrafan, a globally recognized AI educator and author. The organizers noted that the inclusion of AI categories reflects the industry’s evolution, where artificial intelligence is now reshaping traditional creative processes.

While the event celebrated local stars, the recognition of Robinrafan highlighted the international reach of Bangladeshi talent. With over 8,000 creators trained under his guidance across the globe, the jury noted his “unanimous” selection was based on the long-term impact his educational initiatives will have on the global film and media industry.

“This is a significant moment for our industry,” said event organizer Alamgir Khan Alam. “We are bringing together the best of our heritage in film and music with the future of technology.”

Venue: Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Center, Dhaka.

First time the awards were held in Bangladesh after 24 years in the USA.

The gala concluded as a celebration of both the past 25 years of Dhallywood and the tech-driven future awaiting the next generation of Bangladeshi creators.
