The final directorial effort from the late screen legend Kabori Sarwar, \”Ei Tumi Shei Tumi,\” is taking a strategic route to its audience, prioritizing an international film festival premiere before its theatrical release in Bangladesh.
The film, which was nearly complete when Kabori passed away in 2021 and was finished by her son Shaker Chishty in late 2023, is now being positioned for global exposure.
Chishty confirmed the release strategy, noting the local release date \”depends entirely on the film\’s international screening schedule\” after submissions were made to several festivals abroad.

Ei Tumi Shei Tumi holds significance as Kabori not only directed the feature but also penned the script herself.

Chishty faced a major task in completing the film\’s production, dubbing, and editing, ensuring his mother\’s final work meets the high standards of the international stage before its much-anticipated local release.
